Vivid purple. Intensely perfumed dark berry preserve, violet, smoky mineral and exotic spice aromas show outstanding clarity and mineral lift. Palate-staining black raspberry, cherry preserve, licorice, spicecake and floral pastille flavors are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Rich but lively as well, finishing with firm thrust on a strikingly long finish that features even tannins and repeating floral and spice qualities. 50% whole clusters.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 95 Points: The 2017 Dirt Worshipper is a blend of 97% Syrah, 2% Roussanne and 1% Viognier, all co-fermented. Deep ruby-purple, it offers pure, layered aromas of cassis, Morello cherries and warm blackberries with accents of violets, dried lavender, coffee beans and milk chocolate, continuing to reveal new scents as it sits in the glass. The full-bodied palate is intense but never heavy, perfumed and layered, with finely detailed tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long. What an elegant expression of Syrah!
