With nearby Jumilla, Yecla is the home of rich, ripe, cook-out-friendly reds made from old bush-vine Monastrell. This is a great example, feeling fleshy - even pulpy - in texture with oodles of red raspberry and strawberry fruit that's super-ripe, but not cooked or jammy. Easy drinking fun with just enough oak influence to add spice.
