Purity of fruit and light from within, this Bourgogne illuminates; brilliant sensuality. Tulips and peonies; black cherries, full of juice, and perfectly ripe plums, blackberries and blackcurrants, raspberries in coulis, a slight smoky note, soot from the hearth and fat from game birds; roast duck, Peking-style; a touch of cinnamon and irresistible sweetness; very charming! This is close to a Pommard village.
The peppery fruit explodes on the palate; all the fruits described on the nose are present – and more; we should add sour cherry; peppercorns, especially black; cloves, blackcurrant and blackberry leaves; the energy and intensity of the fruit increases; it expresses itself constantly; the spicy dimension makes progress on the palate; here too we shouldn’t hesitate to consume with food.
