(made from a 50/50 blend of pinot noir and chardonnay): Light orange-pink. Ripe red berry and orchard fruit aromas and flavors are complicated by notes of toasty lees and musky herbs. Powerful, palate-coating strawberry and poached pear flavors show good depth and finishing punch. These Champagnes are made by the Bertrand Senecourt house, which also makes the Charles Ellner Champagnes.
