"Already showing balance between fruit and structure, this wine is ripe and dense. Juicy black fruits are highlighted by licorice and firm tannins that still leave room for acidity and black-currant flavors."

The 2019 Château De Chantegrive is also terrific, with lots of black cherry and darker raspberry fruits to go with cedary herbs, tobacco, and earth. Nicely textured, balanced, and medium-bodied, it's well worth buying and drinking. It should keep for a decade.
