some of the world's most collectible, compelling and age-worthy examples of Sauvignon Blanc. Didier's son Louis-Benjamin and daughter Charlotte carry forward their father's tradition of extreme commitment to quality and devotion to terroir. Sourced from low-yield, sixty-year-old vines grown on flint soils, "Silex" is consistently the most racy and mineral-driven of Dagueneau's wines. 2018 was an outstanding vintage in the Loire Valley. Aromatic ripeness without high alcohol (13%). Massive mineral concentration that will yield over time and marry perfectly with the high-toned fruit components and barrel and bottle complexity that seem in perfect harmony. Don't get caught sleeping on this wine. *Biodynamic*

The 2019 Pouilly Fumé Silex shows an initial tenderness, sitting quietly and not shouting that it's made it into your glass. This is a wine that has its act together, feeling integrated and balanced with plentiful concentration and a savory long finish. A delicate dill note, which is a characteristic of oaked Sauvignon peeks out amid the hush.
